Committees
As part its commitment to increased transparency and public engagement, the Board, with the full support of Mayor Johnson’s administration, announced the creation of the Special Education Advisory Committee. The purpose of this Advisory Committee is to listen to and prioritize the various needs that our special education community faces. This advisory committee is chaired by Board Member Mary Fahey Hughes and consists of CPS parents, special education advocates, CPS educators, and other stakeholders with a broad range of experiences within special education.
