 OARD MEETING\n     Enclosed is a copy of the Agenda for the Special Board 
 of Education Meeting to be held on Thursday\, August 17\, 2023\, at 9:00 a
 .m. The meeting will be held at CPS Loop Office\, 42 West Madison Street\,
  Garden Level\, Board Room. The Board President and the Chief Executive Of
 ficer have determined that registered speakers who wish to present during 
 Public Participation may have the option to participate in person at the l
 ocation of the Board meeting or virtually via an electronic platform. The 
 public will have access to the meeting via live stream at cpsboe.org.\n   
   Public Participation Guidelines are available on www.cpsboe.org.\n     F
 or the August 17\, 2023 Special Board Meeting\, advance registration to sp
 eak will be available beginning Tuesday\, August 15th at 9:00 a.m. and wil
 l close on Wednesday\, August 16th at 5:00 p.m.\, or until all slots are f
 illed. Advance registration during this period is available by the followi
 ng methods:\n\nOnline: www.cpsboe.org (recommended)\nPhone: (773) 553-1600
  \n\n     To ensure equity of access to address the Board\, an individual 
 may not speak at two (2) consecutive meetings. In the event an individual 
 registers to speak at a consecutive meeting\, the individual will not be c
 alled to address the Board. \n     Advance registration to observe will al
 so be available beginning Tuesday\, August 15th at 9:00 a.m. and will clos
 e on Wednesday\, August 16th at 5:00 p.m.\, or until all slots are filled.

 ion Time: Opens at 8:45 a.m. and will remain open for the duration of the 
 Special Board Meeting \n\n     Same Day\, In-Person Observer Registrations
  are taken on a first come\, first serve basis as seats become available.\
 n     The Public Participation segment of the meeting will begin following
  the President’s opening statement and proceed for no more than five (5) r
 egistered speakers for ten minutes. Registered speakers will receive instr
 uctions for Public Participation.\n     Members of the public may submit w
 ritten comments for Board of Education meetings via the Written Comments F
 orm on the Board’s website at www.cpsboe.org or mailed to 1 N Dearborn\, S
 uite 950. Written comments received between the day the public agenda is p
 osted through 5 p.m. the day after the Board of Education meeting will be 
 submitted to the Board and posted within five (5) business days on our web
 site at www.cpsboe.org.
