 CIAL BOARD MEETING\n Enclosed is a copy of the Agenda for the Special Boar
 d of Education Meeting to be held on Wednesday\, April 19\, 2023\, at 1:00
  p.m. The meeting will be held at CPS Loop Office\, 42 West Madison Street
 \, Garden Level\, Board Room. The Board President and the Chief Executive 
 Officer have determined that registered speakers who wish to present durin
 g Public Participation may participate virtually via an electronic platfor
 m. The public will have access to the meeting via live stream at cpsboe.or
 g.\nInterim Guidelines have been issued by the President of the Board of E
 ducation of the City of Chicago in accordance with Board Rule 2-4.1. These
  Interim Guidelines are effective July 26\, 2021. During the period they a
 re in effect\, these Interim Guidelines supersede the Public Participation
  Guidelines issued August 28\, 2013 (rev. September 13\, 2018). These Inte
 rim Guidelines are available on www.cpsboe.org and attached to this notice
 .\nFor the April 19\, 2023 Special Board Meeting\, advance registration to
  speak will be available beginning Monday\, April 17th at 10:30 a.m. and w
 ill close on Tuesday\, April 18th at 5:00 p.m.\, or until all slots are fi
 lled. Advance registration during this period is available by the followin
 g methods:\n\nOnline: www.cpsboe.org (recommended)\nPhone: (773) 553-1600\
 n\nTo ensure equity of access to address the Board\, an individual may not
  speak at two (2) consecutive Regular Board Meetings. In the event an indi
 vidual registers to speak at a consecutive Regular Board Meeting\, the ind
 ividual will not be called to address the Board.\nThe Public Participation
  segment of the meeting will begin following the Roll Call and proceed for
  no more than five (5) registered speakers for ten minutes. Registered spe
 akers will receive instructions for Public Participation.\nMembers of the 
 public may submit written comments for Board of Education meetings via the
  Written Comments Form on the Board’s website at www.cpsboe.org or mailed 
 to 1 N Dearborn\, Suite 950. Written comments received between the day the
  public agenda is posted through 5 p.m. the day after the Board of Educati
 on Special meeting will be submitted to the Board and posted within five (
 5) business days on our website at www.cpsboe.org.
