 losed is a copy of the Agenda for the Special Board Meeting of the Board o
 f Education to be held on Monday\, June 15\, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. To protect 
 the public’s health in response to the COVID-19 pandemic\, and as permitte
 d by Governor Pritzker’s Executive Order 2020 – 07\, there will not be an 
 in-person meeting. The public will have access to the meeting via live str
 eam at cpsboe.org\, and Public Participation will be held virtually via an
  electronic platform.\nEmergency Guidelines have been issued by the Presid
 ent of the Board of Education of the City of Chicago in accordance with Bo
 ard Rule 2-4.1 and State of Illinois Executive Order 2020-7 issued by the 
 Governor of the State of Illinois on March 16\, 2020. These Emergency Guid
 elines are effective March 20\, 2020\, and shall remain in effect during t
 he period in which the Illinois Governor’s March 9\, 2020\, Disaster Procl
 amation and/or Executive Order 2020-7 remain in effect. During the period 
 they are in effect\, these Emergency Guidelines supersede the Public Parti
 cipation Guidelines issued August 28\, 2013 (rev. September 13\, 2018). Th
 ese Emergency Guidelines are available on www.cpsboe.org and attached to t
 his notice.\nFor the June 15\, 2020 Special Board Meeting\, advance regist
 ration to speak will be available beginning Thursday\, June 11th at 10:30 
 a.m. and will close on Friday\, June 12th at 5:00 p.m.\, or until all slot
 s filled. Advance registration during this period is available by the foll
 owing methods:\n\nOnline: www.cpsboe.org (recommended)\nPhone: (312) 989-7
 313\n\nTo ensure equity of access to address the Board\, an individual may
  not speak at two (2) consecutive Board Meetings. In the event an individu
 al registers to speak at a consecutive Board Meeting\, the individual will
  not be called to address the Board.\nThe Public Participation segment of 
 the meeting will begin following the Roll Call and proceed for no more tha
 n 5 registered speakers for 10 minutes. Registered speakers will receive i
 nstructions for accessing the electronic platform for Public Participation
 .\nMembers of the public may submit written comments for Board of Educatio
 n meetings via email at BOE@cps.edu or mailed to 1 N Dearborn\, Suite 950.
  Written comments received between the day the public agenda is posted thr
 ough 5 p.m. the day after the Board of Education meeting will be submitted
  to the Board and published within five (5) business days on our website a
 t www.cpsboe.org.
