DESCRIPTION:The Board President and the Chief Executive Officer have determ
 ined that registered speakers who wish to present during Public Participat
 ion may have the option to participate in person at the location of the Bo
 ard meeting or virtually via an electronic platform. The public will have 
 access to the meeting via live stream at cpsboe.org.\nInterim Guidelines h
 ave been issued by the President of the Board of Education of the City of 
 Chicago in accordance with Board Rule 2-4.1. These Interim Guidelines are 
 effective July 26\, 2021. During the period they are in effect\, these Int
 erim Guidelines supersede the Public Participation Guidelines issued Augus
 t 28\, 2013 (rev. September 13\, 2018).\nWhen registration opens\, 30 publ
 ic participation slots will be available to members of the public\, who ca
 n participate in person or virtually via an electronic platform that the B
 oard will offer.\nFor the October 27\, 2021 Board Meeting\, advance regist
 ration to speak will be available beginning Monday\, October 25th at 10:30
  a.m. and will close on Tuesday\, October 26th at 5:00 p.m.\, or until all
  slots are filled. Advance registration during this period is available by

 73) 553-1600\n\nMembers of the public may submit written comments for Boar
 d of Education meetings via the Written Comments Form on the Board’s websi
 te at www.cpsboe.org or mailed to 1 N Dearborn\, Suite 950. Written commen
 ts received between the day the public agenda is posted through 5 p.m. the
  day after the Board of Education meeting will be submitted to the Board a
 nd posted within five (5) business days on our website at www.cpsboe.org.
