DESCRIPTION:The Governor’s Disaster Proclamation\, which declared\, in part
 \, that in-person attendance of more than 10 people was not feasible in li
 ght of public health concerns\, has expired.  Accordingly\, the Board Pres
 ident and the Interim Chief Executive Officer have determined that registe
 red speakers who wish to present during Public Participation may have the 
 option to participate in person at the location of the Board meeting or vi
 rtually via an electronic platform. The public will have access to the mee
 ting via live stream at cpsboe.org.\nInterim Guidelines have been issued b
 y the President of the Board of Education of the City of Chicago in accord
 ance with Board Rule 2-4.1. These Interim Guidelines are effective July 26
 \, 2021. During the period they are in effect\, these Interim Guidelines s
 upersede the Public Participation Guidelines issued August 28\, 2013 (rev.
  September 13\, 2018).\nWhen registration opens\, 30 public participation 
 slots will be available to members of the public\, who can participate in 
 person or virtually via an electronic platform that the Board will offer.\
 nFor the September 22\, 2021 Board Meeting\, advance registration to speak
  will be available beginning Monday\, September 20th at 10:30 a.m. and wil
 l close on Tuesday\, September 21st at 5:00 p.m.\, or until all slots are 
 filled. Advance registration during this period is available by the follow

 ion meetings via the Written Comments Form on the Board’s website at www.c

 the Board of Education meeting will be submitted to the Board and posted w
