 rior to the Regular Board meeting a Public Hearing will be held regarding 
 the proposal to utilize President Abraham Lincoln’s Birthday as a day for 
 student attendance\, parent-teacher conferences\, or teacher in-services o
 r teacher institutes. CPS seeks this holiday waiver pursuant to Section 24
 -2 of the School Code. The Public Hearing will begin at 9:00 a.m. Speaker 
 registration for the Public Hearing will occur between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 
 a.m. on the 1st Floor of the Clark Street Lobby. The Public Participation 
 portion of the Public Hearing will conclude after the last person who has 
 signed in to speak has spoken\, or at 9:30 a.m. whichever occurs first.  P
